Christian Education

Opportunities for learning and growing in faith are available for all generations during the Christian Education hour, 9:45 - 10:45 am each Sunday.

Faith Quest Sunday School
All children ages Pre K through 5th grade, each year. Workshop rotations occur monthly and cover a variety of biblical themes. Some of the themes offered include: “Three women of faith,” “Paul,” and “The good Samaritan.” Throughout the elementary years, children participating in Faith Quest learn core stories from the Old and New Testaments, as well as Bible characters and Bible truths through workshops offering Art, Music, Video, Games, Cooking, and more!

Faith Quest begins in the chapel every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Children are then shepherded (guided) to their workshop room for instruction time and returned to the chapel for parental pick up at 10:45 a.m.

Junior High Confirmation
Holy Trinity offers Biblical and Lutheran theological instruction to youth who are in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Confirmation is taught each Sunday morning during the Christian education hour by the pastors and lay leaders of Holy Trinity. The curriculum, “Here We Stand” is used in conjunction with a hands-on approach to serving others within our community.

Confirmation Camp is a new component of Holy Trinity's Confirmation experience. Confirmands (all children in confirmation classes) will attend camp at Camp Nawakwa (Adams County, near Gettysburg). Campers will be comprised of youth from the Lancaster and Northern Lancaster Conferences. The youth will experience a sense of community, a safe place in which to explore and experience one's own faith and have fun while learning!

Senior High Youth
Youth are invited to “Sunday Morning Edge” each Sunday in the youth room. Relevant and meaningful conversation helps form faith in the teenage heart and mind. Various instructors share faith values with the youth from personal and professional experiences. Light breakfast food is served each Sunday.

Adult Forum
Presentations on a variety of topics including bible, theology, contemporary issues, healthy living, and the intersection of faith and daily life. Held throughout the year in Fondersmith Auditorium.

Holy Trinity Church is the spiritual heir of over two and one-half centuries of Christian witness in the Colony and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Originating a half-century before the Declaration of Independence, the congregation is the oldest in Lancaster and one of the oldest in Pennsylvania. The beautiful sanctuary stands today as one of America's front line colonial churches, historically and architecturally.
