Grace Lutheran Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church celebrated week two of the 2026 Summer Vacation Bible School, Summer Science Monday: God’s Wonder Lab!  Below you can see photos of our young disciples acting out the story of Jesus walking on water, coloring a kite, and playing” Wind and Waves Tag”.  Bible School continues each Monday through July 6 at 6:00 pm at Grace, 517 N. Grace Lutheran Church and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church are once again collaborating to bring downtown Lancaster the 1st Summer Science Monday: God’s Wonder Lab!  The theme for Vacation Bible School 2026.  Below is a photo of our little scientists, playing a Bible game, making slime, making art with sand, hearing the Bible Story of Jesus turning water into wine, and praising God through song! Bible School continues each Monday through July 6 at 6:00 pm at Grace, 517 N. Queen Street.”

Trinity celebrated the Rite of Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday. It was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on two young ladies who promised  to do their personal best to follow the teachings of Jesus by acting in Love.”  Congratulations to Natalie and Penelope.

Holy Trinity’s confirmands in 2026 delivered a fine presentation on their confirmation education experience.   Natalie Dommel and Penelope Kramer offered wonderful insights on what it meant to each of them.

Register now for God’s Wonder Lab, Science Mondays VBS. This is a collaborative ministry between Grace Lutheran Church and Trinity Lutheran Church. The dates are: June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd, June 29th, and July 6th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N Queen St, Lancaster, PA 17603 will host our VBS. Holy Trinity Youth took part in the Lower Susquehanna Synod’s annual retreat for Middle Schoolers, Alive. More than 100 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from Lutheran churches all across the Synod met as one to enjoy the weekend theme “Better Together” – inspired from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s concept of ‘beloved community’ and the premise that EVERY human being has value. Special scripture that we heard this weekend included: Hebrews 10:24-25, Acts 2:43-47, and Ephesians 4:1-6.

Vacation Bible School 2025.   Once again Holy Trinity partnered with Grace Lutheran to jointly offer this opportunity.   Below are some photos from this year, with the theme being Daniel, from Jerusalem to Babylon.

Children’s Learning

Children’s learning school and confirmation classes have concluded for the current church school year.  We will return September 13th.   In the meantime, please contact Rachel Kramer, Director of Children and Family Ministry with any questions.  You can reach Rachel via email at rachel@trinitylancaster.org or call the church office at 717.397.4075.

Junior High Learning

Confirmation age kids, 6th, 7th and 8th graders will join the Sunday School for music time at 10:45am starting in Trinity’s Chapel.   Afterwards, will go to room 205(across the hall from the choir room on the 2nd floor of the Parish House) for a lesson. Trinity’s confirmation program is a 3 year rotation. One year the students study the Old Testament, one year the students drive deeper into the New Testament, and one year the students hear all about Lutheran Theology. At the end of the program students get the opportunity to affirm their baptisms during worship and celebrate afterwards with a special Trinity Fellowship time.

Adult Learning

Each Sunday, learning opportunities for adults are offered after worship and are preceded by a time of coffee and lite snack fellowship.

• The Adult Forum is topical and explores current faith and social issues.  For a list of topics by date, please reference the monthly newsletter.  Sunday, June 28th, Loren Good will present on the topic of Peace and Justice on behalf of the small group that has recently formed.   Adult forum meets in Fondersmith Auditorium following worship.
• Faith Talk focuses on Scripture and Theology, hosting a hearty discussion of.  The discussion is led by Doug Frazer and Tim Wentworth.  Sunday, June 28th, the group will study the book of Romans, the 13th chapter.  Faith  Talk past lessons are available at: https://www.youtube.com/@FaithTalk-HolyTrinity   Additionally, Doug has developed another valuable resource.   Check it out here:  http://www.spiritusetlogos.com
  
• TWIST(Trinity Women in Study Together)  TWIST will be back in session in the fall after a summertime hiatus.
