Andrea Collins

Andrea Collins has held the position of Executive Assistant since 2002. This position involves all the administrative work you’d expect (and many other things that you might not) but that’s all part of life in the Holy Trinity Parish House. Andrea has a BA from Millersville University and lives with her husband and their adorable cat.

Anna Marie Snyder

Anna Marie Snyder is the Receptionist and Financial Secretary at Holy Trinity Church. She has been on staff since March 2012. Anna Marie graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, PA. She and her family like to vacation in the Outer Banks. Her husband’s name is Terry. Her son Paul is married to Jessica. Anna Marie has 2 grand-daughters—Gigi and Savvy. Her family also has a Golden Retriever named Clay.

Dr. Greg Carey

Dr. Greg Carey serves as Resident Scholar at Holy Trinity, a position he previously held from 2009-2016. In addition to his work at Holy Trinity, Greg Carey is Professor of New Testament at Lancaster Theological Seminary, where he has taught since 1999. He is an active layperson in the United Church of Christ and a member of the National Leadership Team of the UCC’s Open and Affirming Coalition. He is the author or co-editor of 11 books related to the New Testament, most recently Death, the End of History, and Beyond: Eschatology in the Bible. He is married to Jennifer Craighead Carey, and together they have two daughters, two sons, and the world’s finest grandson.

Dr. Robert Horton

Dr. Robert Horton serves as Director of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a position he has held since September 2014. He earned academic degrees at the University of Kansas, Northwestern University, and at Cornell University. As a Fulbright Scholar, he also studied at the Conservatoire National de Region in Toulouse, France. Dr. Horton enjoys building furniture and swimming in his spare time. He has a daughter, Jasmine, and a perpetually ungrateful cat, Kalli.

Geoffrey Herr

Geoffrey Herr has been the Sexton for Holy Trinity since the Spring of 1999. In his role, he sees to the maintenance of the Holy Trinity campus and facilitates its usage for the congregation and our guests. Geoffrey also is responsible for producing Holy Trinity’s live stream worship services. He studied architectural drawing at Harrisburg Area Community College. Geoffrey loves being in nature, watching sports, and traveling. In addition to his lovely wife Bonnie, Geoffrey is blessed with 3 children, 2 grandsons and one grand dog.

Loren Good

Loren serves as the Director of Marketing at Holy Trinity Church.   He has a forty plus year background in advertising, positioning, branding and marketing and joined the staff in April of 2022. Loren and wife Lori worship at Holy Trinity and have two adult children, daughter Nicole, married to Christian, and son Marshall.

Pastor Donald Green

Rev. Dr. Donald Green is the Pastor on Call at Holy Trinity H, joining the staff in the fall of 2022.  He graduated from Red Lion Area High School, Susquehanna University, (Psychology), and Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (MDiv, DMin, “Mutuality in Ministry”).  In addition to serving congregations, he also served as Assistant to the Bishop for Mission and Outreach in Pittsburgh, PA.  He traveled internationally on behalf of the ELCA to Canada, Brazil, India, Kenya and three extended missions to Madagascar.  Pastor Don has been married for 53 years to Kathryn Elizabeth (Tangen). They have three adult children: Dr. Angela Ph.D.; Jason and his wife Mary, and grandson Bradley; and Benjamin. Kathy and Don reside at Woodcrest Villas, Lancaster.

Rachel Kramer

Rachel Kramer is the Director of Children’s and Family Ministry at Holy Trinity. She has oversight for children’s learning, family ministry activities, Children’s Christmas Program, and Vacation Bible School She has worked as a Parish Administrator. Rachel has a daughter, Penelope and son, Ronald.

Rev. Dr. Timothy Mentzer

Pastor Mentzer has been the Senior Pastor at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church since May of 2008. In addition to his duties with the congregation, he serves on the boards of the Downtown Investment District, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Fund, the Crispus Attucks Community Center of CAP, and the Historic Woodward Hill Cemetery. He has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Speech Communication from Shippensburg University; a Master of Divinity Degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus Ohio; and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Duke University. Pastor Tim spends time running, biking, spending time in the mountains, and watching college basketball. He is married to Pastor Connie Mentzer, has a son, Andrew, and a chocolate lab named Fiona.

Susanne “Ms. Sue” Raugh

Ms. Sue was baptized at Holy Trinity. She has a bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University and a master’s degree from Temple University in Social Work. In May 2022 she retired from a career of more than 35 years with Lancaster County Children and Youth. She began working in the church’s child care program in 2008. In her free time  Ms. Sue enjoys spending time with family, doing cross stitch, crafts, watching Eagles football and other sports. For the last seven years she’s been mentoring a young man, spending time with him and his son and going to basketball games.

Family News


Baptism

Sunday, January 27th we celebrated the baptism of Kyle Walker, son of Judy and Jeremy. Standing in with the Walkers were godparents Michelle and Tyler Sands. Senior Pastor Timothy Mentzer officiated with on call Pastor Donald Green assisting. We welcomed Kyle into our church family and committed to do our part to grow his faith.

Karaoke Night

Wow, can those people sing! We gathered Saturday evening January 28th after vespers service for a pizza and karaoke party. It was a hoot and we found some voice talents in the congregation that we didn’t know we had.

Mardis Gras Lenten Brunch

It was a rollicking good time Sunday, February 19th. Immediately after worship services, we gathered in the auditorium for a Lenten Brunch loading up on pancakes, French toast, sausages, bacon, egg casseroles, a potato dish along with fine pastries and fresh fruit for our healthy minded congregants. Afterwards, a “battle of the bands” with two jazz ensembles competing.

I’ll Fly Away

Servant Stage Company will present “I’ll Fly Away” in our auditorium beginning at 4:00 PM. A wonderful show complete with old time classic hymns, patriotic music and sing along folk songs. Afterwards, we’ll serve a summer picnic of hot dogs, watermelon and ice cream.
