Holy Trinity Lutheran Family Christmas Event
Thank you to all who participated and attended Trinity’s annual Christmas program called “Christmas Joy.” Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
The current sanctuary was built between the years 1761 and 1766, and when completed it had windows with small panes of wavy glass.
Painted glass was installed in the church in 1853. In 1893, a Vestry committee considering repairs for another renovation recommended the installation of two “picture windows” – one on each side of the pulpit, and ornamental (or geometric) stained glass windows in the sanctuary and narthex. Then, in 1903, the vestry approved the installation of twenty four new stained glass windows. The work began in 1904 and completed in 1947. Donors could select the window theme of their choice, and made the contract with one of three commissioned artists.
