A well-known tradition at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is to collect items for students in need, especially those at risk due to unstable housing situations including homelessness. We partner with the Families in Transition Program for the School District of Lancaster. This program assists students and their families with uniforms, sneakers, backpacks, school supplies, as well as assistance finding adequate housing, employment, food, clothing, and transportation. The Families in Transition Program would not be able to continue their mission without help from others. Here at Trinity, we focus our efforts on collecting school supplies. Special Lenten Opportunity
During Lent, we will gather Thursday evenings beginning March 13th. Beginning at 6:00pm we will share a light meal. At 7:00 Pastor Joel and Chris Prestia will lead a brief service as we observe Lent and immerse ourselves in the season. Please sign up in the Narthex or contact the church office if you plan to attend so that volunteers can prepare the proper amount of food.
