Upside Down Bible Story
The second "Upside Down" Summer Bible Storytime was held Sunday, July 14th. We heard the parable of the mustard seed, and discovered that bigger isn't always better. Just a little faith in God goes a long way!
As Lutherans, the foundation of what we teach is grounded in the words of Martin Luther’s Small Catechism.

“Children are welcome at Trinity, we want to share Jesus’ love with them, and help parents raise their children in faith. There is weekly Sunday School, starting the Sunday after Labor Day and ending the Sunday before Memorial Day weekend. Children gather for music time at 10:45 a.m. in the Parish House then hear a Bible story, make a craft, and play Bible Story games. In addition to Sunday morning learning, activities for families and children are held throughout the year.” And, just because Sunday School takes a partial summer vacation, the learning continues with Summer Bible Story time. Rachel Kramer, Director of Children and Family Ministry will lead our youngest disciples with a special story and activity June 9th, July 14th and August 11th. All activity will take place in Trinity’s Cafe following worship. While the story and activities are geared to those 12 years of age and younger, everyone is welcome to take part. The Summer Bible Story time theme is “Upside Down Bible Stories!” We will hear 3 parables from Jesus that turn our world upside down!
Confirmation age kids, 6th, 7th and 8th graders will join the Sunday School for music time at 10:45am starting in Trinity’s Chapel. Afterwards, will go to room 205(across the hall from the choir room on the 2nd floor of the Parish House) for a lesson. Trinity’s confirmation program is a 3 year rotation. One year the students study the Old Testament, one year the students drive deeper into the New Testament, and one year the students hear all about Lutheran Theology. At the end of the program students get the opportunity to affirm their baptisms during worship and celebrate afterwards with a special Trinity Fellowship time.
Trinty’s Senior High Youth Sunday School class meets at 10:45 am in the “Youth Room” located in Trinity’s Parish House basement. These classes are discussions on the Bible and Jesus’ life through the lens of a high schooler’s life making the Bible relevant for students. Come have a great conversation with us!
Each Sunday, learning opportunities for adults are offered after worship and are preceded by a time of coffee and lite snack fellowship.
At Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, we believe and teach that all we have is a Gift from God. As good stewards of these gifts, we share as we are able with sacrifice and gratitude.Through our generosity we can express our Love, Faith and Thanksgiving. As the Psalmist writes: “The Earth is the Lord’s and everything in it.” (Psalms 24.1)

During Night Four of Vacation Bible School, Grace Lutheran and Trinity Lutheran once again took Downtown Lancaster to the beach. We sang, played games, did arts and crafts, prayed and learned how Christ is central to our life. Join us Wednesday, July 10th at Grace Lutheran beginning with dinner at 5:30pm for our final night of VBS and make waves.
We discovered that God made people with a purpose! God created this beautiful planet and all the animals and it's up to us to take care of his creation! We sang, crafted "Beach Planters", played the "Litter Bug minute", made "Trash Castles", did "The Wave, and heard the story of Creation! Our VBS continues next Wednesday, June 12th at Trinity Lutheran Church starting at 5:30 pm with a family dinner!
